The use of harmful HFC gases and refrigerants, including Freon, is being rapidly phased out in the EU in favour of new technologies that are better for the environment and the economy.

The new alternative is R290, a CO2-neutral solution, that is both more energy and cooling efficient and makes refrigerants and maintenance less expensive.

RØ-KA Industri is certified for the production, installation and service of systems using R290 for cooling milk and is the only supplier of propane gas cooling systems for farm cooling tanks.

High cooling efficiency

RØ-KA’s R290 cooling system has the highest cooling efficiency and cools 5,000 litres of milk from 18 degrees to 4 degrees Celsius in 3 hours and 18 minutes, which is up to 30% quicker than traditional R407 cooling systems (which we also are able to deliver).
